Breakfast Club
School Breakfast Club’s provide a warm and welcoming space for students when they arrive at school.
Volunteers and staff help set up their own school Breakfast Club space and Jude’s will provide students with a variety of healthy, grown or manufactured breakfast foods. These include oats, muesli, Vita Brits, wholegrain Cheerios, milk, baked beans, canned fruit, fruit cups, fresh apples, Vegemite and honey.
In addition to removing the barrier to learning when a child is hungry and creating and social environment, the Breakfast Club will have other benefits which include;
- Creating positive relationships between peers, staff and volunteers.
- Informal learning around nutrition, table manners and other life skills.
- Fostering of student leadership through roles at their Breakfast Club.
- Improved punctuality and attendance at school as a result of having a Breakfast Club.
